The Brazilian stock market index (Ibovespa) closed the last trading session up 0.51%, at 137,128 points.
The quotation was recorded amid investor reaction to the news that China and the United States reached an agreement after two days of negotiations in London.
The two nations reached a consensus on the tariffs to be charged on imports between the two countries.
In the session, the stocks with the highest gains were from Nordon Metalúrgicas and Sequoia, with increases of 13.08% and 9.20%, respectively.
On the other hand, the largest declines were from Gol and DTCOM stocks, with respective drops of 26.17% and 22.25%.
The total volume traded on B3 was R$ 21.6 billion, across 3.2 million transactions.
