The operation was led by Delegate Alexandre Matos and targeted two individuals identified as W.J.B.O., aged 23 years old, and R.C.D.A., aged 36 years old.
The arrests occurred on October 10 in the neighborhoods of São Bento and Canarinho located in Boa Vista.
The arrest warrant for W.J.B.O was issued due to his breach of an urgent Protective Measure (MPU). He faces allegations of threatening and verbally assaulting his former partner who also accuses him of physical violence.
the victim disclosed that they had been together for around seven years but had separated over a year before this incident took place. During one confrontation while he was consuming alcohol at home, she asked him to lower the volume since she needed rest for work early next morning. In retaliation, he verbally abused her before choking her and striking her with punches as well as hitting her head with a helmet.
This individual was apprehended in São Bento neighborhood within Boa Vista.
the second arrest executed by Polinter involved R.C.D.A., based on an existing conviction warrant against him.
In statements provided to authorities,his stepdaughter described him as aggressive when under the influence of alcohol or marijuana.
On that day when events unfolded,he arrived at their residence where she was present with a friend and began addressing her friend using terms like “darling,” which made his stepdaughter uncomfortable enough to request that he cease this behavior.
This request incited an aggressive response from him where he insulted her saying things like “shut up! Mind your own business!” The victim retorted with “At least I’m not like you,” which provoked him into physically attacking her by grabbing her head with both hands while violently pulling back on her hair against the wall.
Despite attempts from his mother to intervene during this violent episode, she could not restrain him as he continued pushing his stepdaughter around until after managing briefly escape onyl to be attacked again—this time being pulled down by hair before receiving kicks that caused severe bleeding from facial injuries sustained during this assault.
Dazed after fleeing towards her grandmother’s house where she reported what happened upon arrival there.
When police officers arrived later on they encountered verbal abuse directed towards them from R.C.D.A., who refused compliance with their orders.
Accordingly per court ruling,R.C.D.A received sentences totaling two years plus one month along with twenty days for aggravated bodily harm along with charges including contempt and resistance against authority figures.
< p>Both suspects where taken into custody at Polinter headquarters where formalities regarding their detentions were completed before being presented during custody hearings thereafter.
