Important Drug Seizure in Roraima
The Civil Police of Roraima (PCRR) executed a successful operation on Friday, the last day of the previous month, resulting in the confiscation of a vehicle. This action was part of an ongoing initiative called “Protectors of Borders and divisions,” spearheaded by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) in partnership with the State Secretariat for Public Security (SESP) within Roraima.
Operation insights
César Augusto Lunkes, who led this inquiry, reported that officers observed a suspicious vehicle heading towards Pacaraima that had been under scrutiny due too its alleged connection to illicit activities in that region. When law enforcement signaled for it to halt, rather of stopping as instructed, the driver recklessly veered into oncoming traffic and sped away toward central Pacaraima.
The police pursued closely until reaching a checkpoint managed by ADERR (Roraima Agricultural Defense Agency). At this juncture, he attempted to reverse course but drove directly at law enforcement before abandoning his moving vehicle and fleeing into adjacent woods.
Items Discovered Inside
An individual was located inside the deserted vehicle. Subsequent searches revealed various items including a USB drive and a Starlink internet device along with two large containers filled with what appeared to be diesel fuel—each holding around thirty-five liters—and an additional fifty-five thirty-liter containers containing similar substances totaling approximately one thousand seven hundred twenty liters.
This operation received crucial assistance from ADERR alongside units from both Brazilian Army forces and local firefighters from CBMRR (Military Fire Brigade). The fire department’s involvement was necessary due to potential fire risks associated with such ample quantities of fuel present at that site. All seized materials were safely transported back to Pacaraima’s police station where they will undergo appropriate disposal procedures. p >
