A Remarkable Recovery of a Missing Adolescent
The Roraima civil Police (PCRR) successfully located a thirteen-year-old girl who had been reported missing on thursday afternoon, the third of this month. This operation also resulted in the arrest of a sixteen-year-old male suspect accused of attempting to sexually assault her.
Description of the Incident
Miriam Di Manso, head of DHPP (Department for Homicide and Personal Protection), stated that the teenager had been missing since February second when her family filed an official report with law enforcement.
the dedicated efforts from both DHPP and NIPD (Missing Persons Inquiry Unit) led to locating the victim near an emergency shelter in Treze de Setembro neighborhood. The young girl revealed that she was abducted by her assailant—identified as Venezuelan—and taken to a residence on Rio Branco Street where he allegedly assaulted her. Utilizing this crucial information,NIPD agents worked alongside DHPP and DGH (General Homicide Delegacy) to apprehend the suspect near a supermarket in Treze de Setembro.
Pursuit of Justice
Following thes developments, both individuals were taken to DDIJ (Delegacia de Defesa da Infância e Juventude) for necessary legal actions. Delegate leonardo Soares initiated an AAFAI (Auto de Apreensão em flagrante de Ato Infracional), ensuring that specialized units continue their thorough investigation into this case.
