Enhancing Environmental Protections in Roraima
The ongoing commitment to environmental conservation is exemplified by the initiative known as “operation Guardian of the Biome,” spearheaded by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP). The Civil Police of Roraima (PCRR) have commenced inspections in Amajari this month to tackle illegal activities reported by community members.

This operation is being carried out with collaboration from multiple agencies including Femarh (State Foundation for Surroundings and Water Resources), PMRR’s Self-reliant Environmental Policing Company (CIPA), and Amajari’s Municipal Environment Secretariat.

The head of DPMA,Francisco Araújo,noted that between May 5 and May 10,their team concentrated on investigating claims regarding unauthorized constructions within protected environmental areas and land grabbing incidents near Tepequém.

<< p > Over two days of inspections led by Francisco Evangelista uncovered one construction project along a riverbank within a protected area identified as unauthorized. The construction was halted due to the absence of it’s owner for clarification.

<< p>“A Circumstantial Occurrence Term will be filed against the property owner who will also face administrative sanctions,” he remarked concerning the halted construction project.
