The dollar closed the last trading session slightly up by 0.26%, quoted at R$ 5.66.
Throughout the session, the currency hit a low of R$ 5.64 and reached a high of R$ 5.68.
The result came on a day when currencies linked to the Chinese economy and commodity prices faced greater pressure from the dollar.
In other markets, however, the movement was different, with the dollar depreciating slightly due to the bad mood of financial agents regarding the fiscal issue.
The euro, on the other hand, closed around R$ 6.38.
